Rick and I are Canadians who retired in 1999. At that time Rick made me a promise that I would only see snow again should I wish too. I did not wish to then or now. We prepared our sailboat, Wind-Borne III (Bayfield 36) to sail south to the Caribbean. We lived aboard and island hopped in the Caribbean for 6 years and then in 2007 became part time cruisers, spending our winter months island hopping and the summer months back in Canada. Recently we sold the boat and have been spending the winter months living on a little island, Carriacou in the Caribbean and again spending the summer months... full info

Did you purchase or rent your home in Riberas de Pilar?
Love the photos....furniture and decorations are gorgeous! I will be moving to Ajijic next year, and am looking at renting. Is your home within walking distance of Ajijic Centro?

Did you purchase or rent your home in Riberas de Pilar?
Sue, we are renting. It is possible to walk to Ajijic Centro but difficult due to the stone roads and sidewalks. We have walked it a few times. The local buses are frequent and easy to use so it isn't necessary to walk it. We are located closer to San Antonio than most homes in Riberas Pilar. In fact the San Antonio Plaza is only a few blocks away. We made our rental arrangements through Ana at http://www.century21accessmex.com/index.php/rentals
