The Highest Point of My Life So Far!!

After 8 hours of driving and walking, we were finally here at the highest point of the overland route from Lhasa to Kathmandu. 5,220 meters is the highest altitude at which I've ever stood. Just for comparison, the average elevation in NYC is 24 meters (87 ft) above the sea level and that in Lhasa is around 3,650 meters.
