A view to remember

When I reached Irkutsk I’d travelled 9000 km, using approximately 650 litres of fuel for the cost of 18000 rubles (about 350 pounds). Russia: A Farewell Tour

I’ve lived in St. Petersburg for three years, teaching English, learning Russian and enjoying the process of getting to know another culture. Every summer here I’ve taken a trip to some or other interesting place: in 2011 I went to Novosibirsk and the Altai mountains; last summer I visited friends in Perm and went on a rafting trip in the northern Urals.
