The Kickamuit River, shown by the anchor in this picture, is in fact just “behind” Bristol although you will travel five miles or more from one to the other. The approach through Bristol Narrows is well marked. There is a nature preserve on the East side of Bristol Narrows and we have watched people explore here in rowboats and kayaks.
