We had a lovely day on the water yesterday. We traveled for 10 hours and covered 85 miles including transiting through three locks. We had a two knot current pushing us so that helped our speed. Not too much wait time, 40 minute at the Iroquois lock, a half hour at the Eisenhower lock but the doors were open and waiting for us at the Snell lock. We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada.
