Monday, 22nd April - Day Nineteen: Rotorua to Waitomo 163km (98 miles). On Highway 30 we head back southwest across country to Waitomo to visit the intriguing wet and dry caves where we see glowworms for the first time. Over five years ago and 78,000 miles later, we are still so enthused about traveling through North America, that we’ll continue as long as possible. Our home is a lovely 36’ 5th wheel trailer pulled by “Rex”, our F350 one ton pick-up truck.
