We are in training to hike the Juan de Fuca trail and expect to start our trip on April 12,2013. It is about 47 KM and we will be hiking from south to north. The hike should take about 4 days and the plan is to be back home on Salt Spring on the 16th or so. We did the Dingle Way Walk in May and spent a few days in Northern Ireland (and Ireland) which got me to 108 countries. Travel is a bit challenging for those of us who have to use Canadian airlines-not sure why Air Canada and Westjet are so bad. Over the past year, my best flights have been with Luftansa, Air France and Ryanair. Trains are also a great way to travel. We are planning a house trade this winter so we can spend some time skiing at Soverign Lakes near Vernon. A trip to Melaque may also be in the offing.
