High Flying Photos!
While your dubious ability to tell a Purple Swamphen from a White-eared Bulbul left me wondering about your birding prowess - come on, everyone knows that! ;) - you have redeemed yourself through photos. Great shot of the Indian Roller! What gorgeous plumage.

I'm a 'birder' in training!
All I can say is: the 'Grey haired nomads' are great teachers. As for the Indian Roller, it's a fleeting flash of colour and this is one of many shots - but the only one that's even remotely in focus!! I'm still learning...
