It is an art packing a car, packing a bus however, is even harder, so we were always impressed with how many motorbikes, tables, chests, chairs, plastic bags, suitcases, backpacks and birds they could fit on the roof of a Lao bus

We had, for the first time during this trip, booked onward transport (our five-day train ride to Singapore), so we had to be in Vientiane by the 26th.
