So much has happened today that it’s hard to know where to start! I was woken up by a mixture if dogs barking, train going over the bridge and chanting or praying from a nearby home. We experienced Indian time when the plans and timings changed, something which is common here but makes everything feel laid back and relaxed.

We are taking part in the Rotary D.1190 (Cumbria and Lancashire) Group Study Exchange to India Rotary D.3180 (Karnataka). Although mainly based in Mangalore, we will be travelling throughout Karnataka in South West India. The trip takes place from 2 January 2013 until 2 February 2013. As well as visiting many historical and religious places, we will each spend five days learning about our individual sectors and how they function in India. Throughout the trip we will live with Rotarians and their families, experiencing and enjoying their culture and hospitality.
