We didn't expect white sandy beaches on the north shore of Lake Titicaca. It was a perfect location just below the village of Caynajuni.

Wednesday 7th December 2011 We awoke just before six, had a tea, then left at 06.30. The roads were quieter as the rode out bikes out of the centre of La Paz and started our 8-mile uphill climb to El Ato and onto the Altiplano.
