At Rainbow beach we stayed in a national park camping area so that we could just hop on the tour bus to Fraser Island the next day. We took in some of the local sights at Rainbow beach including an absolutely amazing sand dune that made my calf muscles cry out in pain by the time I had walked from one side to the other! 4 August, 2012 - Peter and Suzanne, being of the Baby Boomers generation, are now setting forth on the next travel phase of our lives. We met many years ago in Cape Town, South Africa, Suzanne from Oldham in England and Peter from Cambridge in New Zealand, on an overland expedition taking six months to get to London.
