We arrived

Taxi cab driver didn't take us for some reason. He said it was close enought to walk. IT WASN'T. It took us an hour to ask directions and lug around all of our luggage, finally purchasing tickets to a city bus-getting on and off was difficult. We wandered around for a while to find are apartment, but finally made it. Just off the old square. It is always an adventure getting someplace- yikes!

Home of Nicholas Conpernicus. We toured his house. Very lovely old town. Almost free of any devastation from WWII Not far from the villages of Great grandparents on mom's side. I'll attempt to rent a car on Saturday and make the 23 mile journey one way to the village. It is Mother's day in Poland tomorrow.
