Day 18: Magees & Hixsons got out of camp just before 9 AM. Hixsons needed to get fuel - - so stopped at about the last station and bought 18 gals of fuel at $4.799/gal. We took CA 1 north up through the Big Sur. Kerry classified the road as an adventure road - - narrow, curvey and LOTS of steep grades both up and down. Got some neat photos.
