Croc in the mud

The boatie was able to coax him onto the mud bank so we could see his whole body. He was about 7 feet long and 400kg!!! Females are around half the size.

Last weekend we went on an organized two-day tour of Kakadu National Park (pronounced Ga-ga-doo). Really beautiful place with lots of Aboriginal rock paintings, many that are thousands of years old! As per usual, there were plenty of "look out for the crocs" signs but our tour guide said it was safe to swim in this one location where there was freshwater and a waterfall!
