The boat leaves the Cairns Marina at 8:30am for day trips to the outer reef, so we got up early around 7am to make sure we will not miss the boat. About me I grew up in far North Queensland in a little town called Mareeba, 6000 population, where sugar canes and mango plantations dominate the local landscape. Lived in Cairns, at Parramatta Park for a few years and then moved to the Gold Coast to play tennis.
