MACHU PICCHU: The Sacred Rock/ La Roca Sagrada

Before a village could be built, a sacred stone had to be dedicated to the site. This one is meant to be shaped like the landscape behind (not visible with all the clouds!) ********* Antes de poder construir un pueblo, se le tenía que dedicar una piedra sagrada. Esta se supone que tiene la forma del paisaje de fondo (¡que no se ve por la niebla!)

There are two ways to get to Machu Picchu from Cuzco: 1. The "Blimey, that's expensive", but quick and comfortable way: by train to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of the mountain; or 2.
