Like the Natives August 3rd 2011 Hello All,
Well, we wanted to "live like the natives" and while I guess that without going to work, etc. , that may be hard to do, we are jumping in with both feet. But, some differences between the US and Germany are hard to miss:
1) There seems to be more smoking at least we are more aware of it because there is no prohibition to it in many restaurants outdoor areas

Peter and Linda live in Arizona. Our travels are obviously timed to get out during the sweltering summer months. Currently we are traveling in and around Germany for the entire month of August. Fortunately, my sister Margie, her Daughter, and two grandsons are staying in our home in Arizona while we guest at her beautiful home in Bonn for a homebase while traveling in Europe.
Our current planned itinerary is LA to Frankfurt, then to Bonn and on to Munich, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, and, time permitting, Budapest.
