Bandaneira church

Built by the Dutch in the 19th century, this church, even in its current sorry state, is a wonderful sight. It was badly damaged during the religious rioting that gripped Maluku from 1999.

Eyes still heavy with sleep, I extract myself from my little niche to have a look around.
