Day 3 and legs are dead. Michael (lets crack on) Cooke is setting the pace. Paul & Colin are plotting revenge at the back. Lovely countryside but still very windy. Lots of wind farms along the way - never a good sign. The challenge The aim for the intrepid team is to cycle from Ashtead pond in Surrey to Lake Annecy in the French Alps, a distance of around 600 miles. The leaving date is Sunday 1st May 2011 and we hope to arrive on Wednesday 11th May, returning home by train (after some well earned beers) on Saturday 14th.
