After a pretty uneventful flight we landed safely in Auckland. We now have two months here and have booked passage round both the North and South Islands with a bus company called ‘Stray’. In August 2009, we decided after talking about going travelling so much, why didn't we just go for it? And so started the busiest year of our lives! After spending months redecorating our home, we rented it out. We also began budgeting and planning for our adventure. In December 2010, we fly to Hong Kong and begin a 5 week trek of China, Vietnam, Cambodia before finshing in Thailand. From here, we are spending a month travelling around Thailand (mainly Island hopping and a visit to the bridge over River Kwai) before flying to Melbourne for a few days.
