We think [i]oude[/i] means old. The doors you can see at canal level belong to the cellars of the houses at street level. Many of these are used as cafes and shops during the warmer months.

Wednesday 9 March to Friday 11 March 2011 John started work in earnest on Wednesday, with a meeting in Brussels which went well.
