Sweets We did not know the Spanish loved sweets so much. It seemed as if every other shop was a coffee-sweet shop and they always were busy. Add to the coffee and sweets cups of thick chocolate into which they dipped deep fried bread-sticks and that should give you the picture of the love of sweets in Spain.
