From Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, I wanted to head to the Argentinean mainland. This is much more hassle than it should really be; buses leave Ushuaia every morning at 5 and take 12 hours to cover the relatively short 300km to the southernmost Argentinean mainland city of Rio Gallegos.
