Our adventure for today was a ride on the Rio Grande line from Alamosa to La Veta using steam engine #18. This is a 3 hour journey one way with stops to pick up passengers at Fort Garland (a historic fort and now museum) and to drop off passengers at Fir (a site that the railroad uses in the summer for concerts).
