After leaving Skagway, we weaved back through parts of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory to get to the Cassiar Highway. The Cassiar is a shorter route back to the Lower 48 than the Alaska Highway; and we wanted to visit parts of southern British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California before headed to points southeast.
