Escaped from Delhi's heat and expense and took the trains up to Shimla - the toy train from Kalka winds up the steep hillsides - scary and very, very scenic. Shimla is somewhere south of the Hymalayas and is 21,000 ft above sea-level, so plenty high enough for us!
