Day 157 (Thursday 24/09/09, NJJ) John stayed at the motel whilst the rest of us went shopping to Del Monte centre before going to Carmel for a wander around the pretty buildings and beach. We all had massive salads for lunch by the pool and then relaxed. Around 5pm we left for the 26 mile drive down to Big Sur.
