The EU and Japan float in the middle ground with 8.4 and 9.5 respectively, whilst good old Uncle Sam stays out in front with 19.7, closely followed by Australia with 17.4 tons per capita. Presumably the Ozzies are all driving around searching for some ozone to hide under.
