With some careful planning and extensive research we came to a compromise that our mini trip within Tibet would be from the 2nd - 9th August and take in the following destinations: Lhasa - Yamdrok tso - Shigatse - Lhatse - Rongpu monastery - Everest base camp - Lhatse - Sakya - Shigatse - Lhasa.
