Day 18 to 21: Kovalam and Varkala, Southern Kerala

Away from the backwaters of Alleppey, Kovalam is a touristy beach resort, with everyone trying to sell you something the moment you get here. However, the sea remains the dominant force here, beautiful torquiose green and powerful waves crashing into the shores.
