Punakaiki Entrance Fee?

A headline caught my attention one day. The Government is planning to force DOC to increase its revenue by charging the public. One option might be at Punakaiki's famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes. Visitors are channled through an entrance where it would be easy to sell tickets.
