the King penguin colony

there are over 200,000 birds here, a mix of adults in their colourful plumage and the 'oakum boy' chicks in their brown fur coat. Its no wonder early explorers thought they were 2 different species.

After 36hrs of bobbing around looking at land (well ok - mostly low cloud with the occasional glimpse of land) we have finally managed to set foot on South Georgia.
