This dress is called "Xà Rông" and it's worn by ethnic minority women in Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Dak Lak provinces in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. This shot was taken at Đồng Xanh park in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province in December 2009.

There are 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, of which the Viet (or Kinh) is the largest group (making up 86.2%!o(MISSING)f the country's population). The Viet people mainly live in the Red River Delta, the central coast region, the Mekong Delta and major cities.
