Skateboard Heaven!

We'd approach from the right, coming downhill and swinging sharply at speed (right where the 10 kmh sign is now). Those who got it wrong ended up crashing into the stone wall on the left. We made our own skateboards. Usually, two boys would go halves in a pair of rollerskates and take one each, and fit it to any bit of old timber lying around the place. The steel-wheeled ones skates were particularly hard to control.
