Seit knapp anderthalb Stunden bin ich nimm im Zug von Beijing nach Chengdu und habe noch gut 24 Stunden Fahrt vor mir. Diesmal fahre ich im Hardsleeper und teile mir mein Abteil mit fünf Chinesen. Das Abteil ist nach vorne hin offen und im Gang herrscht reger Durchgangsverkehr, da direkt daneben das Wagenende mit Waschraum, Wasserboiler (für Tee oder Fertiggerichte) und Raucherecke ist.
