Turkmenbashi the Dashing

I think he loves this particular picture of himself as it is absolutely everywhere - billboards, posters, vodka bottles, tea, cake tins - even though it is a good few years old and bears no resemblance whatever to his current visage.

A quick search of this website reveals that, aside from an American chap working in Turkmenistan posting his contact details, the last tourist entry for this country was September 2001.
