August 12th was for us an exciting day, because our plane from Makassar - Sulawesi would take us to Ambon, capital of Maluku Province. This is what we have been looking forward to for a long time. Pasir Panjang or Ohoidertahun/Savanna?
Agree that Ohoidertahun really has got something, but its not water. Great vistas of sparkling white mudflat for most of the time. Try Pasir Panjang - 3km of proper beach, whispering palms and water even. Plus at least three guesthouses which compete - karaoke with the two at the south (Ngilnoff) end, deep chill at Coaster Cottages at the north (Ohoililir) end.
