July Expedition Part 2 July 25th 2009 By day five it was time to move on to our next base camp. We hired some local porters to guide the team and carry some of our extra gear. The current endeavor has me working as a director for a small humanitarian aid organization. Project MARC is a non-governmental organization that provides medical assistance to remote communities in island nations. The projects we do range from building clinics to installing water systems to vaccinating children.
