From Los Angeles, we booked tickets via the internet for the Greyhound bus and headed to Las Vegas on 20 June. We also pre-booked a couple of nights in a Travelodge in Las Vegas (which if you can believe it worked out cheaper than a hostel). The bus ride was 6 hours - with a 30 minute stopover in Barstow.
