Most of the Inca trail that we walked had been re-built or re-routed because it was too dangerous, but this is one of the parts that is still the origonal Inca Trail from about 700yrs ago

I just got back from the 4day Inca Trail to Machu Pichu and it was absolutely amazing! We walked for about 6hrs a day, camped each night and ended up at the old Inca ruins of Machu Pichu.
