Crossing the border was relatively painless, if a little long winded. We had to stop to leave Thailand, to cross the border and then to enter Cambodia. Surely it would be easier to have one stop? Anyway, we paid for a bus ticket to get us to Siem Reap and refused the 'offers' a tout kept giving us of paying a little extra to leave straight away and get a taxi. The thing I love most about travelling is that it forces you to live in the moment. You never really think more than a few days ahead, if that. It's about what you're doing now. How do we get there? Where does that go? I wonder what that's like. And it gives you an incredible feeling of freedom. At home, we bog ourselves down with worries and plans that keep us focused on what will happen in the future. But when travelling, all that stuff doesn't matter. You deal with it when it happens.
