Donkey in a cave. The farmers would carve out caves from these giant piles of ash left over from previous eruptions. There were loads of them and they were generally used for storage ... including donkey storage.
The Aegean Islands December 24th 2008 We've dragged ourselves away from Istanbul and got on an overnight bus that took us all the way down the Aegean coast to the town of Bodrum.
