Alcoutim is an inland town on with a 14th century Moorish fort and Spain is on the other side, across the Guardiana River. The countryside is very sparsely populated and there is not much of interest around here -- but it was a nice drive and the town is pretty. I always wanted to travel and left Australia when I was 18 to travel around Europe and Asia, working on the way in London and Amsterdam, before settling down in Tel Aviv. We didn't do much travelling for years, just short family holidays in Europe, and then in 2008 we started travelling again. This travel blog starts off with our first trip to Laos and Vietnam.
