D, P (Kiwi boy) , E and J (the Girls from Holland) and I travled to the Mombacho Reserve to see the fumadores, sulfuric steam streaming out of the mountian side (proof that the Volcano is still active.) the Walk there sucked 12km Away we left the monkey at 9:45 and started the hike at 1:20 here's to mass transit. ... read more

Backpacking through Central América. I thought on a trip like this, that the goal is discovery of self through solitude. I realize now that it is a struggle for companionship, a discovery of roots of language and customs (including border crossings) and the surmountable barrier between.
