These two showed up on the site-they are doing a traditional carpentry apprenticeship which means they travel around for three years doing whatever carpentry work the can find.They worked on our site for three days and did the timber frame porches-mortice and tenon etc
Habitat for Humanity trip to hungary June 7th 2008 We are in the final stages of packing for our trip to Europe to build houses for Habitat For Humanity in Szarvas,Hungary.We will fly to London from Vancouver on May 12th, then to Prague on the 14th.

We live on Saltspring Island in British Columbia,Canada and are usually here from late fall until the end of May. In the summer we can be found at West Hawk Lake near Lake of the Woods in Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park which is 45 km west of Kenora,Ontario.
We try to do active holidays that require training in advance of the trip. Staying moderately fit seems to be easier if you are preparing for a specific objective such as hiking the West Coast Trail etc.
