Skocjan Caves April 18th 2008 Wow, today was a lot of fun. I headed back towards Trieste, Italy (but stayed in Slovenia) to an underground cave system called Skocjan. It was huge. In America only Mammoth Caves and Carlsbad Caverns are larger. The tour was about an hour and a half through 2 separate caves areas. I'm currently in the sad place where the last trip is but a distant memory and yet the next trip is simply a series of thoughts and ideas. New job and less vacation are combining to derail my annual March adventure. Still there is the thought of popping over to Turkey for a quick trip to Istanbul and hopefully Capadoccia.
