Initiation time

This young Fipa boy was in the process of becomming a man. We met him on a small backroad on the Fipa-plateau, and him and his friend helped us to find the non-existent road to Mao.

The road was long and beautiful. It winded over gently undulating semi-savannah, across the Fipa-plateau, past small friendly villages and through deep and damp forest.
