Young Nick or Nick Young?

Either this little cabin boy, was the first to spot New Zealand. Cpt. Cooks crew was in desperate need of food and water. They landed in the Gisbourne area, and instead of loading up, they had a fight with local Mauri's and left empty handed. Thus the bay is now called Poverty Bay.
Over on the East Side

We arrived to the Eastern side of the North island after enjoying a really lovely riverside drive which wound it's way in and out of farmlands and rural settings.
