Hello, Crossing by ferry we arrived on Rangitoto Island for a hike to the top of the volcano, that rose out of the sea some 600 years ago. A walk uphill brings us to the top, 257 meters high. Lucky with the weatherconditions we discovered all the informationboards, reading about geology, history and nature of this new Island near Auckland.
